Our philosophy is preservation: whenever possible we repair the mitral, aortic or tricuspid valve instead of replacing it. A repaired natural valve usually performs better, lasts long and unlike mechanical valves does not require lifelong anticoagulation.
Each repair is checked in the operating room with transesophageal 3D echo before the chest is closed, so you leave the theater with a proven result.
